NEW VICAR
We are very pleased to announce that Rev Jon Whalley has been appointed as Priest-in-charge of the Parishes of Wolsingham, Thornley, Tow Law, Satley and Stanley Crook. He will be inducted at Wolsingham Parish Church on Friday 17th July at 7pm.
Rev Whalley has been Vicar the Marshland Parishes, a Benefice of four rural parishes in the Diocese of Sheffield. John was ordained priest in 1998. Jon has served as a Bandsman in the Queens Lancashire Regiment, a Minister in the Salvation Army and still serves as Army Chaplin to the 4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment holding the rank of Major.
Rev Whalley and his wife will be moving into Wolsingham Vicarage, shortly before his induction.
The PCC and congregation are looking forward to welcoming Rev Whalley to the parish.
